Upgrades for "MG" Testers

MRS pioneered the first certifier upgrade concept in 1997. Currently, MRS offers several upgrade options for MG250/MG250A products:

• MRS3500-E -- a complete Electronics, computer and software upgrade of MG250. Includes all MRS3000 electronics and software, does not include any changes to original MG250 mechanics or motion control systems. MRS3000 Write and Read Preamplifiers as well as Universal Read/Write amplifier are modified to fit on MG250. This upgrade utilizes the MRS3000¹s proven electronics and Windows 2000 based software to provide updated capabilities for PMR media test. Please contact MRS to discuss your specific requirements.
• MRS3500-C -- converts the MG tester to magnetic certification only with MRS like PMR test capability. In addition to electronics, computer and software, MG250 positioners and head loader mechanisms are replaced with MRS3000-G2 precision high-speed positioners with new advanced headloaders and high torque motors. This upgrade delivers higher throughput and allows for the use of 2 mil write heads. Upgraded machine will perform MRS3000 level certification only.
