MRS3000/3100GT Burnish/Glide Testers

MRS3000/3100 GT Glide Testers were introduced to the market in early 2007. The GT offers media manufacturers a low cost burnish/glide capabilities based on the proven MRS3000 platform. The GT gives users the option to upgrade to full certifier (MRS3000/MRS3000-G2 Burnish/Glide/Certify system).

The MRS3000GT supports testing of disks from 20 to 95mm in diameter. The MRS3100GT is repackaged in a smaller frame size (i.e. 17 inches wide) and supports testing of disks from 20 to 65mm in diameter. The GT, supports both PZT and AE test modes and two 4 MHz detection channels for each surface. This allows the test engineer to gather and analyze more data and to setup multiple process-specific glide tests that can run simultaneously. Each of the four independent channels has self-calibration software enabling fast and accurate automatic adjustments.

The MRS3000GT unit is fully upgradeable to the MRS3000-G2.
