The KCT-2100, Passive Fiberoptics Component Test System, measures
components with up to 32 channels or multiple devices with a total
of 32 channels. Often used with an original configuration of four
or eight channels, additional channels are easily added with plug-in
receiver modules. Advanced automation concepts, developed by MRS,
minimize connection and disconnection time of the device under test.
Production mode software, written in C++ and
running under Windows 2000, controls all of the tester functions
from start to finish. A Test Wizard allows easy configuration of
the test sequence through a drop and drag technique. This step by
step approach to developing test sequences offers a systematic test
procedure that ensures accurate and repeatable results. Numerous
process control oriented features make the task of DWDM component
characterization a simple one.
Engineering mode software allows comprehensive testing of devices
under development. Test parameters can be set in either engineering
or production mode for use in high volume production. Security access
routines protect test parameters by providing user defined levels
of access for changing test parameters, standard values, and threshold
levels. The KCT-2100 is also fully compatible with automation workcell
control requirements.
