Software Design Engineer

• Architecture design and development of machine control software used in automated test equipment. Develops and applies state-of-the-art methods, theories and research techniques to the specification, design development, implementation, and maintenance of complex software
• Implements algorithms, writes device control software, and designs graphical user interfaces. Tests, evaluates, and improves algorithms. This person must be comfortable working in a constantly changing environment that requires a wide range of skills
• A good understanding of systems level software is required including expertise in designing with multithreaded, asynchronous, TCP/IP and/or RS232 protocol
• A minimum of 2 years experience in C++, Visual C++, Visual SourceSafe, MFC, graphics, mySQL is required
• Desired educational background includes a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
